Speaking

You will work on pronunciation, oral fluency, listening accuracy, vocabulary, and grammatical control. You will also learn how to organise spoken responses efficiently and use your preparation time effectively.
Writing
Develop the ability to write clear, accurate, and well-organised responses.
Summarize Written Text
Learn how to identify the central message of a passage and express its main ideas in a concise, grammatically accurate summary.
Write Essay
Learn how to respond to an essay question, develop a clear position, support your ideas with relevant reasons or examples, and organise your response logically.
You will also develop the language skills needed for integrated Speaking and Writing tasks, including summarising lectures and discussions where required.
The course will focus on grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, coherence, and the ability to communicate ideas within the required time and word limits.
Reading
Improve your ability to understand written English, recognise relationships between ideas, and identify important information quickly.
You will practise the current PTE Academic reading tasks:

- Reorder Paragraphs.
- Fill in the Blanks: Reading.

You will learn how to recognise collocations, understand vocabulary from context, identify logical connections between sentences, and select appropriate words to complete a text.
You will also practise reading efficiently and managing your time across different question types.
Listening
Develop your ability to understand spoken English and identify the most important information in academic and general contexts.
You will practise the current PTE Academic listening tasks:
- Summarize Spoken Text.
- Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers.
- Fill in the Blanks.
- Highlight Correct Summary.
- Multiple Choice, Single Answer.
- Select Missing Word.
- Highlight Incorrect Words.
- Write from Dictation.
You will learn how to identify main ideas, recognise supporting details, understand spoken information, and take effective notes.
You will also develop strategies for completing listening tasks accurately and understanding how listening activities may contribute to more than one skill score.
